Friary Handball 10th Annual Classic
The Friary Handball Club held a well organised and very successful Golf Classic at West Waterford on Friday and Saturday 11th and 12th June. Homecoming for Seamus
On Saturday night last a homecoming party mainly organized by Seamus’s father Ned and family friends, was held in the clubhouse. A fantastic night was had by the large attendance, the highlight being a “This is Your Life” presentation, professionally delivered by the ever popular Kieran O’Connor. All at West Waterford wish Seamus the very best for the future.

Irish Mixed Foursomes
This year West Waterford will play host to the East Munster section of the competition, which takes place on Sat/Sun June 19th/20th. Here’s hoping for another sunshine weekend as we welcome the visiting teams. West Waterford will play Tramore 1.45pm on Saturday.
Belvedere Trophy
Edward Hickey’s team face an uphill battle as they travel to Waterford Castle on Thursday and try to reverse a 4-1 defeat in the home leg. This team has been known to reverse similar results in the past and we wish the team every success this time round.
Fred Daly Trophy
Carrick on Suir golf club has been chosen to host the Munster quarterfinal of the Fred Daly Trophy. Clonmel will provide tough opposition but no doubt, Justin who relishes a tough contest, will have his young guns well prepared for the occasion. This fixture takes place on Sunday 27th June at 11.30am.
Club Mixed Foursomes
The draw for the club mixed foursomes is now posted on the notice board. First round matches must be completed by Friday 18th June. The onus is on the top pairing in each match to make contact with their opponents. Any problems contact Malcolm Ashby.??
New GUI Smart Card
There are still a number of uncollected cards in the office. Members are kindly requested to collect outstanding new cards immediately.
High Handicap 13- hole Stableford
The Tuesday high Handicap continues each Tuesday during the summer and is now a 13-hole competition. All handicap levels are welcome and we hope to see lots of our new members, where you can meet new friends and improve your game
Al Eile Qualifier
In association with Al Eile each Wednesday you can qualify for the Masters Challenge 2010. Scoring will be based on a player’s best card from Dungarvan, Gold Coast and West Waterford. The competition runs until Friday 18th June with the final in Mount Juliet in June.
