Senior Cup

Our senior cup team under the management of John Carroll has once again progressed to the Munster semi finals.  On Saturday last at Faithlegg golf club, we defeated Dungarvan G.C. to advance to the afternoon session where Tramore provided the opposition.  Despite the atrocious weather conditions our team produced another splendid performance and so qualified for a semi final meeting with neighbours Gold Coast on Sunday morning.  Fortunately the weather conditions were ideal and we secured our third victory.  On the other side of the draw Thurles had progressed to the area final.  With every member of the team on their game, West Waterford came through once more and will now compete in the semi finals to be played at Castletroy in August.  Well done to John and his panel on a magnificent performance.

Open Week Friday July 16^th to Sunday July 25^th

Our Open Week kicks off with a 13-hole 3 person scramble on Friday 16^th July.  On Saturday 17^th July we have an 18-hole singles stroke competition, followed on Sunday 18^th July by an 18-hole singles Stableford competition.  For full details of our open week log on to our website www.westwaterfordgolf.com

Waterford Ladies football Classic

Owing to the inclement weather conditions at the weekend, the final day of the Ladies football classic has been deferred to Saturday August 7^th.

New GUI Smart Card

There are still a number of uncollected cards in the office.  Members are kindly requested to collect outstanding new cards immediately.

High Handicap 13-hole Stableford

The Tuesday high Handicap continues each Tuesday during the summer and is now a 13-hole competition. All handicap levels are welcome and we hope to see lots of our new members, where you can meet new friends and improve your game

Al Eile Qualifier

This is an 18-hole Stableford open competition held on each Wednesday during the summer months.  As well as the weekly prizes entrants can qualify for the Grand Final which will be held on Sunday 17^th of October 2010.
