Winter League 2010

Preparations are now almost complete for the Winter League which following the success of last year’s event is bound to generate huge interest. At present teams are posted on the main notice board in the hallway. Anyone still intending to play may inform the office, or contact Pat Power on 087-6611276. All members are asked to keep an eye on the notice boards for current news on the Winter League.

Timesheets

Please remember: Players with their names on the timesheet have priority on the 1^st tee. This is important and especially so over the Christmas and the New Year period with increased playing numbers. To book a tee-time simply telephone West Waterford on 058-43216 or 058-41475.

New Competition for all three Dungarvan Clubs

A new initiative that will involve members of the three local golf clubs taking part in what will be known as “The Dungarvan Masters” is scheduled to take place in 2010.

During the months of April, May and June the players from Dungarvan, Gold Coast and West Waterford golf clubs participating in the respective Clubs Open Competitions can enter the Dungarvan Masters Competition for a fee of €10.

The individual player’s best 3 aggregate scores will determine their qualification for the Masters Final Day in Mount Juliet.  The number of qualifying positions made available will be determined by number of entrants. We will have more details on this event in the New Year.

West Waterford Golf & Country Club Website

The West Waterford Golf and Country Club Website is currently being given a face-lift. It is hoped that the restructured site will provide more clear and expanded information on all events associated with the club to Members and Visitors alike.
