Captains Prize – Mr Michael Landers
Following on an excellent turnout for the lady captain’s prize last weekend, the gents take centre stage this weekend. The qualifying rounds for this years Captain’s Prize will take place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of July, with the final on Sunday 3rd of July. The top 90 players from the qualifying rounds will play in the final round on Sunday. The draw for playing partners will take place on Wednesday 30th of June at 8.00 pm. With only limited space remaining on the timesheets, those who have not yet signed up are advised to do so immediately. We all wish Michael and family the very best for the weekend and hopefully the summer conditions will prevail once again. Presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday 4th of July in the clubhouse at 9.00 pm sharp followed by the customary music and craic

Club Mixed Foursomes
The draw for the club mixed foursomes is posted on the notice board. Second round matches must be completed by Sunday 4th July. The onus is on the top pairing in each match to make contact with their opponents. Any problems contact Malcolm Ashby on 0861022750
Fred Daly Trophy
Under the guidance of manager Justin Spratt, our Fred Daly team scored a convincing win over Clonmel at Carrick on Suir GC on Sunday last. They have now reached the Munster semi final which will be played at Dungarvan on July 30th.

Junior Coaching
Summer Coaching course running from Wednesday 30th June to Tuesday 6th July. 3.30-5pm each day. The course covers all aspects of the game and is aimed at players who are ambitious to play to a higher standard. Entries will be taken at the office and the cost is €50 per junior. New GUI Smart Card
There are still a number of uncollected cards in the office. Members are kindly requested to collect outstanding new cards immediately.
High Handicap 13 Hole Stableford
The Tuesday high Handicap continues each Tuesday during the summer and is now a 13-hole competition. All handicap levels are welcome and we hope to see lots of our new members, where you can meet new friends and improve your game
Al Eile Qualifier
This is an 18 hole Stableford open competition held on each Wednesday during the summer months. As well as the weekly prizes entrants can qualify for the Grand Final which will be held on Sunday 17th of October 2010.
