Shanahan Makes His Mark at Lahinch
Currently playing the best golf of his career, our senior cup anchor man Mark Shanahan, put in a brilliant performance in the South of Ireland Amateur Open at Lahinch last week. In a field comprised of the top amateurs in the region, he recorded no less than 4 victories en route to a place in the final 16 where he exited the contest on the 18th hole. This was truly an exceptional performance and testament to the ability and dedication of this talented player.
Munster Interprovincial Team
West Waterford was represented in both the Boys and Senior Interprovincial Championship at Ballinrobe on July 20th -22nd. Gary Hurley and Mark Shanahan both put in a great performance and truly justified their selection on the teams.

Sunday 15th August: Senior Cup – Munster semi finals and final at Castletroy GC. In the semi final West Waterford play Limerick GC. The final takes place in the afternoon.

Our Fred Daly team lost out to Killarney in the semi final at Dungarvan on Friday last.
Waterford Ladies football Classic
Owing to the inclement weather conditions at the weekend, the final day of the Ladies football classic has been deferred to Saturday 7th August.
High Handicap 13-hole Stableford
The Tuesday high Handicap continues each Tuesday during the summer and is now a 13-hole competition. All handicap levels are welcome and we hope to see lots of our new members, where you can meet new friends and improve your game
Al Eile Qualifier
This is an 18-hole Stableford open competition held on each Wednesday during the summer months. As well as the weekly prizes entrants can qualify for the Grand Final which will be held on Sunday 17th October 2010.
